At a very young age, Germán embarked on his musical journey by picking up his father’s Spanish guitar. Although he took a few lessons on how to play the instrument, for the most part, Germán learned to play the guitar on his own. Similarly, he also learned to play timbales and other percussion instruments. Germán’s musical background has allowed him to develop a keen sense for romanticism that is evident when he composes, and sings boleros and other romantic songs.  In addition to his musical talent, Germán is a devoted collector of Latin popular music. Germán possesses a collection of over 700 songs recorded by el Trío LOS PANCHOS, the most famous romantic Latin American group of all time. He also owns a collection of recordings made by Carlos Gardel, which is considered by many as the biggest Latin American singer of all time. Germán has also compiled a vast collection of Frank Sinatra recordings from the 1940’s and 50’s.  Germán also admires the musical contributions of Tito Rodríguez and famous timbale players such as Tito Puente and Willie Rosario.
